Professional Bird’s Nest Removal
Available September to February
Service Description
Bird’s Nest Removal – September to February Active bird nests are protected by law and must not be disturbed or removed while they are in use or being built. For this reason, Bingley Chimney does not remove live or potentially active nests during the main nesting season. Our bird’s nest removal service is available from September to February, subject to inspection and confirmation that the nest is no longer active. If there is any indication that a nest is active, work will not proceed. Birds occasionally fall or become trapped in chimneys without nesting. These are commonly pigeons, and when no active nest is present, they can usually be safely removed at any time of year. Please note: Nest removal can be unpredictable. The time required depends on the size, position, and condition of the nest. Additional work or access requirements will be discussed where necessary. TERMS & CONDITIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Our chimney will be inspected, and work will be carried out by a professional chimney sweep registered with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. All services are carried out in good faith. A visual inspection of accessible parts of the appliance and chimney will be undertaken; however, due to the concealed nature of chimney systems and associated components, this inspection cannot guarantee that the chimney or appliance is safe, correctly installed, or free from defects. Unless advised otherwise by the homeowner or person providing access to the property, we will assume that the appliance and chimney have been correctly installed and are in a suitable condition for the work to be carried out. Chimneys and their associated components must be safely cleanable and inspectable. If an existing defect, deterioration or installation fault becomes apparent during the work, Bingley Chimney cannot accept responsibility for the underlying defect simply because it became evident during the cleaning or removal process. PETS & CHILDREN For everyone's safety, children and pets must be kept away from the working area and supervised by a responsible adult throughout our visit. Where possible, they should remain in a separate room while work is being carried out. SECURITY Our work may require several trips between the property and our vehicle, meaning external doors may need to be opened frequently. Customers are responsible for ensuring that valuables are secure and that the route between the entrance and the work area is clear.
